亀戸Machiya Aさん

You have been here for a long time. Did you go to travel in Japan?

Yes, I have been to Kyoto, Nara, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Niigata, Okinawa and Tottori etc,.

Because I love Kyoto so much, so I have been there twice. The first time is in the winter, and the second time is in the summer.

The seasons are so apparent that I could enjoy all of them.

Is your job in Japan now a English teacher?

Yes, I am. There aren't only kids, but also older person in my students. I have many students.

I teach them at their home, so I could go to different houses and it let me feel excited.

Your dream is to become a pâtissier right?

Yes, and I studied it in America, too.

Although I want to be a pâtissier in Japan, but getting the working visa isn't easy. Also there are many difficult vocabularies needed to remember, so I still keep improve myself.

Now I'm learning the recipe of Japan style!

What was your job in America?

I have done so many jobs!

Like Mcdonald's, bookstore, supermarket, department store, hospital, army, news reporter, and baby care service.

I think I could do everything!

What is your turning point of finding a sharehouse?

Because I want to live with Japanese and to improve my Japanese.

I had lived with my classmate of the Japanese language school. She is from China, so we are used to talk with each other in Chinese.

So this time, to improve my Japanese, I decided to move to a sharehouse.

Why do you choose Kameido Machiya?

It's because the location. The traffic and shopping here is so convenient.

Also the skytree is near the house, so I could view it clearly no matter on the roof of the house or on my way home.

Although I prefer Tokyo Tower more in fact haha.

How do you feel about living here?Have your Japanese gotten improved?

Although it's slowly, but my Japanese is getting improved.

And I'm happy about that there is a kitchen in this sharehouse. I almost make some pancakes everyweek. I made some cookies yesterday, too, and share them to others.

The house is so clean and it is comfortable to live here. The place I lived before is so small, and the space isn't enough to use. But because it's a sharehouse here, so there are common spaces to let you feel more spaces could be used.

Everyone is busy here, and everyone's time is different. So it's not always so crowded in fact(than imagined).

The roommates here are nice to me, so I feel I'm so lucky. Now I'm living a room of dormitory type, and the roommate is a easygoing people. It's good that we could talk nomatter what about ourselve or our familys.

Do the members of Kameido Machiya get along with each other and enjoy the life of sharehouse?

I like desserts, and there is someone having the same interest as me. You could feel more happiness to make some desserts with someone than do by only yourself.

We will go to the Shoseido Cafe in Ginza together, too. Eating the omurice which has the history over hundred years.

On the day I moved in, the roommate in the same room introduced me the enviroment immediately. And she also guided me to the Gingya and ate the famous dumpling near the house.

Everyone is busy and a little shy.

We're used to hold party almost everyweek when I was in America, so I also want to hold one here. If you will have one, please inform me! It sounds so good.

The advantage and disadvantage of the sharehouse, and the point you recommend?

The first advantage is that everyone takes turns with trash.(I don't need to do it by myself everyweek.)

Because there's a staff coming to house to clean it, the bathrooms and restrooms are so clean and everyone here keeps to clean it after using.

Other is that could meet different people from different backgrounds. When you're back home, maybe there's someone there and can talk with you. But recently, the topics are almost around about “so tired” haha.

If someone are taking a trip or backing to home, they would buy the famous souvenir there and share to everyone. For example, one resident went to mountain climbing on the other day, she bought the souvenir of the montain and let us eat. And other resident was borned in Aomori and goes back to home almost every month. Aomori is famous for apple, so I usually could eat different type of apple sweets every month.

Sometimes there comes a cockroach in the summer, but because of living in sharehouse, there could be someone coming to safe me. This is a advantage, too.

The disadvantage is that here is less privacy than living on your own. But in fact it's not so serious because somewhere I've lived before is more terrible.

The point I recommend is convenient. You don't need to buy the furniture or something like toiletpapter etc,.. Comparing to other sharehouse, because here is maneged by the company, so the environment here is clean and comfortable, like living in your own house.
